THROUGH THE LENS

EMBA in Ireland.

The Notre Dame Executive MBA Class of 2026 started the program in true Irish style, traveling to Dublin, Ireland, for a weeklong immersion. The week kicked off with the signature Executive Integral Leadership course, led by Mendoza professors Chris Adkins, Cindy Muir and Kris Muir.

While students primarily attended classes in Trinity College’s beautiful facilities, they also enjoyed various off-campus activities, including lunch at Hugo’s restaurant and exploration of the historic Glendalough Monastic City.

Why go to Dublin? The EMBA Class of 2026 didn’t just immerse themselves in the region’s beauty and culture — they were there for a larger purpose: to build a toolkit of global experiences.

Themed around the words “Tender, Strong and True” from Notre Dame’s alma mater, EIL aims to build bonds among students and leadership skills through a deeply holistic experience that connects the individual’s professional, personal, moral and spiritual dimensions.

According to Gianna Bern, associate dean for the Notre Dame MBA programs, gaining global experience is both challenging for most executives and critical to their career development. Through three curriculum-integrated opportunities, EMBA students can develop a broader perspective on global issues and economics while enhancing their ability to make effective decisions as leaders in the worldwide marketplace.
