Andrew Patrick Leach (MBA ’13) passed away June 2, 2017 while working out at the gym. Leach was employed by S & P Global in Boston as a regional investment consultant. A lifelong athlete, he had a passion for sports and fitness and excelled in football, wrestling, track, pole vaulting and golf. Leach is survived by his wife, Amanda, his parents, brother, nephew, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.


Richard Paul Bartsch (BS Commerce ’56, JD ’61) passed away March 15, 2017. Bartsch served in the U.S. Army and worked as an attorney of law. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Anthony ‘Tony’ Rocco (BS Commerce ’56) passed away April 17, 2017. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, sister, and his companion, Marilyn Rizzuto. A Mass will be celebrated on the Notre Dame campus from his ND ’56 classmates.

John Raub (BS Commerce ’56) passed away July 14, 2017. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, Raub entered priesthood training for the Diocese of Youngstown, Ohio. Following 10 years of priestly service, he joined the Trappist monks at the Abbey of Gethsemani in Kentucky, remaining there for 28 years and serving at different times as guestmaster and prior.

Raub was released from his religious vows, met and married his wife, Ann, who survives him. They lived in her hometown of Clarksville, Tennessee. Other survivors include his stepson, sister, nieces, nephew and great-nieces. His body was donated to the University of Tennessee Medical School.

He authored Who Told You That You Were Naked while a monk, and Francis, Repair My Church, published when he was 80 years old.

Bob Tonti (BS Commerce ’56) passed away Jan. 4, 2017. Following his graduation from Notre Dame, Tonti and his brother, Ed, formed Tonti Properties, a custom home building company that later built multifamily units, primarily in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, brother, nieces and Margaret Ann Wangler. A Mass will be celebrated on the Notre Dame campus from his ND ’56 classmates.
