“Investment Banking Relationships and Analyst Affiliation Bias: The Impact of Global Settlement on Sanctioned and Non-Sanctioned Banks”

Accountancy Professor Stephannie Larocque and Finance Professor Shane Corwin examined the impact of Global Analyst Research Settlement on analyst affiliation bias in stock recommendations. Their results suggest that the Global Settlement was successful in mitigating affiliation bias, but only for the investment banks named in the settlement.
